"California Boiler recently completed the installation of two Heat Sponge heat exchangers along with a number of other system improvements. Our objective for the project was to recover the heat escaping out the stacks of our boilers and use it to preheat the boiler makeup water. At the conclusion of the project we were able to increase our recovery to more than twice the original rate. Between the energy savings and the Gas Company rebates, the payback for the system upgrade is projected to be less than three years. Good job California Boiler."
